The Easton PTO is partnering with Quassy Amusement Park on Friday, June 14, for an exclusive evening of games, rides, and family fun. Quassy will be closed to the general public so that Easton residents can exclusively experience the park and all it has to offer.

“We are so excited to bring an offering to the community that not only gives back to our schools but celebrates family, friends and summertime fun,” said Elizabeth Bailey, SSES co-president of the Easton PTO. “Grab a neighbor and come meet us at the bumper cars!”

Each ticket includes four hours of unlimited rides and free parking. Ten percent of food and carnival game purchases will go to benefit the PTO. Children under the age of 2 are free.

Online ticket sales will close on Thursday, June 6. Tickets will be available at Quassy the day of the event for $35 each.

The Easton take-over of Quassy will also feature the newly formed SEPTA group, for students that may want to take a restful break from the evening activities.

“We’re thrilled that the PTO has generously partnered with Easton’s SEPTA to provide a quiet, sensory friendly space at the Fieldside Pavilion,” said Jessica DeLVecchio, SEPTA board member.

Easton SEPTA will be handing out free bubbles, and all children and parents are welcome to take a break in the shade and cool down with some coloring, sensory bins and sidewalk chalk activities. The music and lights will also be dimmed on the rides for a portion of the event, which is incredibly helpful for children who love the fun of the rides but are easily overwhelmed by multiple stimuli.

“We are so proud to be in a community that is always working to find ways to be inclusive for all of our kids to join in the fun,” she said.

Quassy Amusement Park & Waterpark is in its 116th year and features more than two dozen rides and attractions. Rides include the award-winning Wooden Warrior roller coaster, Reverse Time, Frantic, Yo- Yo super swings, Free Fall ‘N’ Drop Tower and Grand Carousel. Quassy is located at 2132 Middlebury Road, Route 64, in Middlebury, Connecticut, on the shores of Lake Quassapaug.

The Easton Quassy Amusement Park take-over will be held 4:30-8:30 PM. The waterpark will be unavailable at this time. All remaining tickets are on sale via EastonCTPTO.com or via cash/check delivered to the PTO mailboxes at SSES or HKMS.
