Elsie Tierney to Play Miss Dorothy Brown in Thoroughly Modern Millie

Sabrina’s Encore Productions, LLC is thrilled to announce their Summer Series of musical productions opening in late July starring the super-talented youth of our local towns of Easton, Newtown, Brookfield, Monroe,Trumbull, Bethel, Danbury and Ridgefield.

Elsie Tierney, a resident of Easton and soon-to-be freshman at Joel Barlow HS this fall, is slated to play the principal role of Miss Dorothy Brown in the upcoming SEP production of Thoroughly Modern Millie opening on July 17th at Edmond Town Hall Theater in Newtown. This lively performance is sure to get everyone in the audience excited during the show-stopping numbers with every member of the cast in tap shoes! Millie will mark Elsie’s 5th year with SEP and her favorite role to date.

Other favorite moments on stage include: Fame (Iris Kelly), Follies (Matilda) and Helen Keller Middle School’s Production of Between the Sun and Moon! (Daughter). Also opening on July 17th will be Disney’s Beauty and the Beast performed by the Elementary troupe.

Finally, on July 23rd the senior troupe will mount an epic production of Les Miserables accompanied by a live, 17 piece professional orchestra! Original story by French poet and novelist Victor Hugo. Music by Claude-Michel Schönberg, original French lyrics by Alain Boublil and Jean-Marc Natel, with an English-language libretto by Herbert Kretzmer.

Show times are:Beauty and the Beast - Friday, July 17th 5:00pm and Saturday July 18th 3:00pm. Thoroughly Modern Millie - Friday, July 17th 8:00pm and Saturday, July 18th 7:30pm. Les Miserables - Thursday, July 23rd 7:30pm, Friday, July 24th 7:30pm, Saturday, July 25th 7:30pm and Sunday, July 26th 5:00pm.
