Fed Ex Truck On The Lawn: Top Of The Redding Police Blotter May 13-20

REDDING, CT — The misadventures of two deer and a Fed Ex truck were atop the Redding police blotter May 13-20.

On May 14, the driver of a Fed Ex truck lost control and drove onto a Ledgewood Road lawn, causing property damage. Police issued the truck driver a written warning for unsafe driving, according to their report.

Also on May 14, a deer was killed when it ran onto the southbound lane of Lonetown Road/Route 107 and was struck by a vehicle. The motorist was not injured.

On May 18, the deer that ran into the side of a vehicle moving eastbound on Cross Highway was luckier, escaping after causing some damage to the car. No human was injured.

A motorist was injured on May 15 after hitting a school bus on Redding Road. The driver of the otherwise unoccupied bus complained of pain due to the airbag deployment. Police issued a written warning to the motorist for unsafe driving.

Another driver suffered minor injuries on May 16 after being in a one vehicle accident on a sharp curve on Stepney Road. No further details were available.

Yet another single vehicle accident on another sharp curve, this time along Hill Road/Route 107, was reported on May 14. The motorist suffered minor injuries, according to police.

On May 13, a resident reported that his daughter was involved in a one vehicle accident causing property damage the previous day. There were no injuries, police said.
