Fire Threatens Weston Home Sunday Night: Fire Officials
Firefighters responded to a residential incident in Weston, according to officials.
WESTON, CT — Firefighters prevented a grill fire from spreading into a Weston home Sunday night after flames extended to an attached deck on Blueberry Hill Road, according to the Weston Volunteer Fire Department.
Fire crews were dispatched to the residence at about 8:09 p.m. on a report of a grill fire extending to the home, the department said.
Crews quickly extinguished the blaze and remained on scene to ensure the fire had not extended into the residence, according to the department.

Twenty-four Weston firefighters responded to the incident. The Weston Police Department also assisted at the scene, while firefighters from Wilton, Westport and Georgetown responded but were quickly returned to service, officials said.
The Weston Fire Marshal's Office is still investigating the cause of the fire.
