Firefighters Battle Blaze on Tuckahoe Road in Easton
Firefighters from several companies extinguished a house fire on Tuckahoe Road in the early evening on Wednesday.
EASTON, CT — Firefighters extinguished a house fire on Tuckahoe Road in the early evening on Wednesday.
First responders from Easton Fire Company found heavy smoke across the road and fire showing from the eves of the home around 6 p.m.
"Engine 4 with career firefighters Davies and Mirowski along with Easton volunteer Lt. Wheatley secured the hydrant and took the driveway. Easton volunteer Jethro Forbes was on scene and used a hand line to attack the fire from the exterior," the company posted on their Facebook page.

Easton firefighters were joined by crews from Trumbull, and together they gained entry and moved to the second floor to tackle the fire there, knocking down the remaining flames.
Crews from Easton, Trumbull and Fairfield overhauled the area to ensure the fire was contained to the attic.

Weston Fire covered Easton Fire headquarters, and Easton police and Easton EMS were on scene to assist, according to the report.
