Former Joel Barlow Coach Named To CT Women’s Basketball Hall Of Fame

A local coach is among those named to the 2026 class.

REDDING, CT — Chris Lindwall, a former coach at Joel Barlow High School, has been named to the 2026 Connecticut Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame class.

Lindwall is among several inductees announced by the Connecticut Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame, which recognizes contributions to the sport across the state.

During his coaching career, Lindwall compiled a 342-56 record and led Joel Barlow to a state title in 1995. He later guided St. Joseph High School to a state title in 2015, becoming the first girls basketball coach in state history to win championships at two different schools.

He is currently the athletic director at Lauralton Hall in Milford.

The 37th annual induction ceremony is scheduled for April 26 at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville, according to organizers.

The hall of fame was established in 1987 to honor players, coaches, officials and contributors to women’s basketball in Connecticut.
