Fraud, DUI Top Redding Police Blotter For Nov. 18-27

REDDING, CT — Two more incidents of fraud and attempted fraud, and a handful of accidents on the road were at the top of the Redding Police Department's blotter this past week.
On Nov. 18, a Longwall Road resident complained to police that someone posing as a friend on SnapChat attempted to trick her into making an online purchase. Fraud was successfully carried out against a Wayside Lane resident who discovered someone had made an unauthorized $200 withdrawal on their credit card. The incident was reported to the Redding Police Department on Nov. 27
On Nov. 26, Redding police charged a 54-year-old Drummer Lane motorist with DUI and failure to drive on the right side of the road following her crash on Route 53 near the intersection of Newtown Turnpike. A $50 bond was posted, and the resident was scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on Dec. 12. Police reported no injuries.

On the same day, police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Glen Hill Road. No one was injured, and no other details are available.
Another two-vehicle accident occurred on Route 107 the following day, according to police. No one was injured, and no other details are available.

Police say a motorist ran a stop sign at the intersection of Cross Highway and Route 58 on Nov. 18, slamming into another vehicle. No injuries were reported.
On Nov. 22, a vehicle didn't quite make a sharp curve on Route 107/Hill Road, resulting in a rollover instead. There were no reported injuries.
