Fraud, Fender Benders Top Redding Police Blotter For April 22-28

A couple of motor vehicle crashes and two cases of fraud topped the Redding Police blotter for April 22-28​.

REDDING, CT — A couple of motor vehicle crashes and two cases of fraud topped the Redding Police blotter for April 22-28.

Redding police investigated the fraud during the last days of the month. On April 23, a Fire Hill Lane resident reported fraudulent charged on her credit card. Five days later, a Turney Road resident told police someone had tried to access his mother's account in an attempt to steal money.

Also on April 28, a vehicle crashed through a driveway guardrail at the Meadow Ridge retirement community on Route 107. No injuries were reported.

There was more property damage, but no human injuries, on April 25 when the outside mirrors of a truck and a school bus collided on Long Ridge Road.

Black Rock Turnpike in front of St. Patrick's Church was the scene of a two-vehicle accident the same day, when one motorist failed to give the proper right of way. There were no injuries, according to police.

On April 27, police were called to Marchant Road to locate and shut down some loud music.
