Frontier Communications Announces Jim Oddo As Area General Manager for Northwest Connecticut
NEW HAVEN, Conn., July 27, 2016 – Frontier Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: FTR) today announced the appointment of Jim Oddo as Area General Manager for northwest Connecticut. This region, a key strategic market for Frontier, includes 42 cities and towns, including Danbury, Newtown, Waterbury, Litchfield and Torrington.
For more than 10 years, most recently as Senior Vice President of Talent and Human Resources,
Oddo has played an integral role in staffing top talent throughout Frontier’s 29-state footprint.

In his new role, he will be responsible for every aspect of customer experience for Frontier in the northwest corner, including introducing residential and business customers to Frontier’s new suite of Vantage™ products, including Video, Internet, Voice and Fiber. He will be active in community organizations and promote the development of business and sales, lead field operations, and engage employees and community stakeholders.
Oddo knows the critical role that broadband plays in a community’s economic success and to its schools, neighborhoods and other centers of civic life. Upgrading and expanding broadband service in this area is an ongoing and important initiative for Frontier, which is deploying ultra-high-speed Internet to many of the communities it serves. A long-time resident of the area, Oddo has a first-hand understanding of what customers need and want.

“Jim has an outstanding history with Frontier and brings a strong skill set and experience to the East Region leadership team,” said Paul Quick, Senior Vice President and General Manager for Frontier’s Connecticut Operations. “A lifelong resident of the state, he has a wealth of commercial and community relationships and is a passionate advocate for investment and job creation. Oddo and his family reside in Plantsville, Connecticut. He holds a B.S. in Consumer Affairs from the University of Rhode Island. He has a strong history of working with military veterans and played a key role in adopting best practices on recruiting and hiring by going beyond the traditional resume and introducing digital interviewing first to companies and job candidates. These practices were singled out in Vice President Joe Biden’s Ready to Work: Job-Driven Training and American Opportunity report to the President of the United States. Oddo will continue his commitment to military veterans and spouses in his new role and will continue to serve on the Board of The Workplace in Bridgeport.
