'Gentleman Burglar' Admits to Tying Up Woman During Weston Home Invasion: Report

Police say he stole a $35,000 ring from the woman's finger and a $19,000 watch from her wrist.

WESTON, CT — Described as a 'gentleman burglar,' a Bridgeport man plead guilty Friday to tying up a woman during a home invasion in Weston in May of 2015, reports the Stamford Advocate.

Dylan Garner, 43, plead guilty to a home invasion charge, and he faces a mandatory minimum of ten years in jail. He was regarded as a 'gentleman burglar' because he would maintain his dress and scope out houses by ringing doorbells and knocking on doors, looking like someone who belongs in the neighborhood.

He had been in jail since the invasion, which occurred on Ten O'clock lane in Weston. The arrest affidavit says he forcibly removed a $35,000 diamond ring and a $19,000 rolex from the woman's finger and wrist.
