Reminder: Georgetown Day Returns June 12
The annual festival features a chili cook-off, live music and more.

It's that time of the year again.
On Sunday, June 12, Georgetown Day returns to Redding. With tons of activities for people of all ages, the festival has something for everyone.
"This year's event includes many new exhibits and activities for both adults and children," said Alexis Bennett, who's heading publicity for the festival. "The day kicks off at 11 a.m. with the Georgetown Gallop, a 5k race on Old Mill Road, followed by a festival at 12 noon, which includes the chili cook-off, silent auction, live band performances and much more."

Bennett said that a special addition to this year’s event "is the dedication of a memorial stone by the Georgetown Lions Club to it’s charter members."
It's not too late to get involved with the festival. Those interested in being an exhibitor, a chili chef, or a performer should visit georgetownct.org or send an email to gvrbooth@optonline.net.
