Community Corner

Georgetown Restaurant Employee Relief Fund

They need our support.

We hope you and your families are staying healthy and safe. We’d like to start by thanking everyone who has been supporting our Georgetown restaurant family.

As you are aware, as of March 16, restaurants have only been able to offer take out and delivery. While this means our businesses are technically open, our bartenders and servers are no longer needed, and are not able to generate tips, which is primarily how we support ourselves. As much as we wanted to believe that it would soon be safe to reopen, our time frame is ever-shifting.

40 employees who happily serve the Georgetown community are currently out of work. We are humbly asking for your support to help build a fund for the bartenders and servers of Lombardi’s Trattoria, Black Cat Grille, Milestone, Wire Mill Saloon, Leo's, Redding Beer and Rancho Alegre. All contributions will be evenly split between the employees who are affected by the Covid-19 restaurant restrictions. No donation is too small and we greatly appreciate any and all of your help!

Thank you for being the best part of our community, for your kindness, and for your continued support. We look forward to safely seeing you in person soon!

Warmly,
Lauren (on behalf of the Georgetown restaurant family)
