Georgetown Volunteer Fire Co. Hosts 2nd Annual Plant Sale In Redding

REDDING, CT — The Georgetown Volunteer Fire Co. is hosting its second annual Plant Sale & Garden Swap, at the Granite Church on Saturday, May 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The fundraiser is presented by GVFC along with the Georgetown Volunteer Fire Dept. Auxiliary, a branch of the department that provides non-firefighting support. All proceeds benefit GVFC and the Georgetown community in times of need.

Plants can be perused and purchased the day of, or can be preordered online by May 12. Flowers, herbs, and vegetables will be available, including leafy greens, tomatoes, peppers, watermelon, and basil, plus marigolds and packs of petunia, salvia, and more for window boxes and planters.

Garden swap items can be dropped off on the 20 or on May 19, 5-6:30 p.m. Suggested swap items are bulbs and perennial cuttings or plants, garden tools, and garden accessories (pots, work benches, gloves, etc).

The Granite Church, where the plant sale will be held on May 20th, is located at 5 North Main Street in Redding.
