Guido Bartomioli, 95, of Easton, Passed Away Saturday

Guido Bartomioli, age 95, of Easton, beloved husband of Mary Halasz Bartomioli, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2016. Born and raised in Bridgeport, Guido was a graduate of Bassick High School, Class of 1939. He was also a Veteran of WWII, serving in the United States Navy Sea Bees in the Pacific Theatre. Guido later went on to be a Union sheet metal worker and worked for many local companies and recently received his seventy year membership pin from the Local 38 Sheet Metal Workers Union.
He liked hunting, golf, carpentry and metal work and especially enjoyed making weather vanes and cupolas for family and friends. In addition to Mary, his devoted wife of nearly seventy years, survivors include his sons, Louis Barton and his wife Annemarie of Fairfield and Jay Bartomioli and his wife Christina of Cos Cob. Mr. Bartomioli leaves behind his grandchildren, Valerie and Mitchell Barton and Theresa and Jana Bartomioli as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins in Italy. He was predeceased by his brothers Peter and Frank Bartomioli and a sister Elsie Rovellini.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 am in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Rd., Fairfield Center with entombment to follow in Mt. Grove Cemetery with full Military Honors.
