Hotel Blaze Under Investigation by West Redding Fire Marshal

REDDING, CT — A fire in a hotel room at the Days Inn by Wyndham Ridgefield is under investigation.

At 10:41 p.m. on Thursday night, the West Redding Fire Department responded to an automatic fire alarm at 296 Ethan Allen Highway, the location of the Days Inn by Wyndham Ridgefield on Route 7.

First responders found a fire in a single hotel room, and Georgetown Volunteer Fire Department and Ridgefield Fire Department were added to the call.

West Redding engine 1 arrived on scene and stretched a single hose into the structure, and the fire was extinguished shortly after 11 p.m.

The fire is under investigation by the West Redding fire marshal's office.
