House Fire Hospitalizes 1 Person In Easton

EASTON, CT — One person was hospitalized following a house fire on Hayes Street Tuesday morning, according to fire officials.

The Easton Volunteer Fire Company responded to the call around 7:30 a.m. and found everyone outside the home. One person was suffering from smoke inhalation and was taken to the hospital.

First responders reported smoke coming from the second floor. Crews were able to bring the blaze under control swiftly, according to fire officials posting on social media.

The fire is currently under investigation by the Fire Marshal's Office.
