ID Theft, Car Crashes Top Redding Police Blotter For Nov. 28 - Dec. 4

REDDING, CT — Fender benders and reports of identity theft continue to compete for the top of the Redding Police Department blotter over the past week.

There were no injuries, and no further information, reported following a two-vehicle accident on a sharp curve along Church Hill Road on Nov. 29.

A sharp curve on Gallows Hill Road resulted in an accident for another vehicle on Dec. 4. There were no injuries.

Chestnut Woods Road was not wide enough to accommodate both motorists approaching each other at the same time Nov. 30, and each lost their exterior mirrors in the dust-up, according to police. There were no injuries.

A Gallows Hill Road resident complained to police on Nov. 28 that fraudulent purchases were billed to her Mastercard-CitiBank card account. The bank reimbursed the charges.

On Nov. 30, a Mountain Road resident told police that, at some point, her identity was stolen, as she had received unemployment information for which she had not applied. This investigation remains open.
