ID Theft, Vehicle Crashes, Top Redding Police Blotter Feb. 5 - 11

REDDING, CT — A couple of motor vehicle crashes and a case of identity theft topped the Redding Police blotter for Feb. 5 - 11.
On Feb. 5, a Drummer Lane resident reported that someone had entered their unlocked vehicle, but did not take anything.
Also on Feb. 5, police investigated a single-vehicle accident on Turney Road. No injuries were reported.

Three days later on Route 53/Redding Road, a two-vehicle crash resulted in minor damage to both machines, but no human injury, according to the police report
ID theft, and its attempts, continue to place highly on the Redding police blotter. On Feb. 10, a resident complained to police that someone had attempted to open up a new account in their name.
