's junior varsity softball team record stands at 7-0 with a total of 69 runs scored and only nine allowed.
This was accomplished largely on the part of sophomore starting pitcher Devon DeLallo who has chalked up 78 strikeouts in seven games. Three of the team's wins have been by shutout.
Strong and consistent hitting performances have come from the co-captains DeLallo and Brianna Cellini along with freshmen Grace Urban, Kimberly Uzwiak, Rachel Corr, Kerianne Gibney, Megan Laber, Caroline Coppola and Jordan Williams.
Defensively, the JV team plays like a well-oiled machine with its outstanding catcher Gia Tuccinardi behind the plate and Emma Ruggeiro, Hailey Stirling, Maria Devoto, Isabelle Benedetto all taking charge of their positions.
The Barlow JV freshman members have a long history playing together, prior to high school, and have become a talented and hard working group of girls.
The future of these determined and talented softball players looks bright at Joel Barlow High School.
