League of Women Voters To Host 135th House District Candidates Debate
Incumbent 135th State House District Rep. Anne Hughes will debate challenger Chris Peritore on Oct. 6.

Mark your calendars for October 6th 12-1:00 p.m. in Weston Town Hall as Weston and Redding join to kick off a much-anticipated debate for the 135th House district seat (Weston, Redding and part of Easton). Incumbent Anne Hughes (D, Easton) will debate newcomer Chris Peritore. Mr. Peritore also lives in Easton and is an Independent Party candidate running with cross-endorsement from the Republican Party.

The debate will be presided over by veteran moderator Jean Rabinow. Attendees are encouraged to come with questions. There will be cards available so that you may easily write and submit your questions which will be reviewed by a bipartisan team. A civil environment with respect for fellow attendees and candidates is expected.
Come as a family--all ages are welcome! Coffee, water and snacks will be available at our information table outside the Town Hall Meeting Room. This important event will be taped for future viewing on the Leagues’ websites (www.lwvwestonct.org).
