Letter: 'Re-Elect Peg O’Donnell'

"Throughout Peg's lengthy public service, she has been a consistent voice of reason..."

We urge you to vote for Peg O’Donnell for Redding Selectman. Peg is a well-known, highly respected, and long-time public servant. She has served the town for 20 years as town treasurer, a Board of Finance member, and over the last 5 years as a Selectman. Moreover, she has spent years volunteering for organizations in town such as the Mark Twain Library, New Pond Farm, RES PTA, Neighbors and Newcomers and Boy Scouts. She and her husband have lived in Redding for 28 years and all of their children attended Redding schools. Peg knows Redding and Redding knows Peg.

Throughout Peg’s lengthy public service, she has been a consistent voice of reason who has successfully reached out and listened to all of her constituents, supported no-frills, taxpayer-friendly town budgets, and advocated for transparency in government. Despite the increasing negativity that extremist outsiders have brought to Redding, Peg has continued to work across party lines in a collaborative, solution-focused manner. In fact, the Board of Selectmen as it is currently configured has worked remarkably well together and we hope to see this board continue for the next two years. A vote for Peg is a vote for all of Redding.
