Letter: In Support of Art Laske, Jackie Kaufman and Ira Kaplan

To The Editor:

I am writing to endorse Art Laske, Jackie Kaufman, and Ira Kaplan for the Easton Board of Finance. Art has served on the Board for 22 years, and has held the line against the worst of Republican attempts to defund our schools and eliminate the Parks and Recreation Department. Ira has served as an alternate on the Board and as an actuary has an encyclopedic knowledge of financial matters. Jackie is a newcomer but brings to the Board her expertise as an attorney and ability to analyze complicated financial challenges to reach workable solutions. Republican members of the Board of Finance have routinely proposed massive cuts in our education budgets, and recently voted to entirely defund the Parks and Recreation Department. Electing the entire Democratic slate is our best hope of maintaining the services and schools that maintain our home values and make Easton a wonderful place to live and raise a family.
