Louise Alice Del Vento, 97, of Easton, Passed Away

Louise Alice Del Vento, age 97 of Easton, the beloved wife of the late Stephen A. Del Vento, entered into eternal rest on Monday, December 28, 2015 in her home with her loving family by her side.
Born in Bridgeport on February 3, 1918 she was the daughter of the late Frederick J. and Margaret (Gaylord) Chapman. Louise is the past vice-president of Henderson Trumbull Supply Company, DelVento, Inc., and City Cement Block Company. She lived in Bridgeport for 32 years and lived in Fairfield for nine years before moving to Easton where she lived for 57 years.
She was the past president of the Easton Women’s Republican Club as well as a member of the Easton Homemakers Club. She loved all animals and especially being an avid bird watcher. She is survived by sons, Stephen and his wife, Arlene DelVento of Milford, Vito and his wife, Marie DelVento of Easton, Robert and his wife, Jeannette DelVento, of Newtown and Russell and his wife, Elaine DelVento of Easton; 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. As well as loving sisters, Evelyn Wright and Virginia Clark and her husband Leigh of Florida, Jacqueline Blanchard of Vermont, brother Frederick J Chapman of Trumbull, sister-in-law, Sarah DelVento of South Carolina and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her daughter, Theresa A. Polifka and sisters, Elizabeth and her husband Roy Coover, Doris and her husband Dean Costas, sister-in-law, Evelyn Chapman and brothers-in-law, Donald Wright and Pasquale DelVento. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and Aunt.
She loved her family deeply. The family would like to thank the Jewish Senior Services, Friedman Home Care Agency, and Chaifetz Family Hospice for their kindness and professionalism during this time.
Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 10:00 AM DIRECTLY in Notre Dame Church, 640 Morehouse Rd., Easton with a Mass of the Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
