Police ID Man Found Dead in Easton Home: UPDATE

Police have identified the man found dead inside a Redding Road home on Friday.

EASTON, CT — Police have identified 63-year-old Michael Baldyga as the man was found dead inside a Redding Road home on Friday.

Easton Police were dispatched to 70 Redding Road on Friday at about 1:00 p.m. on a report of an unresponsive person. They found Baldyga deceased, in his home.

"Based on the conditions inside of the residence, the State Police Western District Major Crime Unit was called to assist in processing the scene," Easton Police officials said. The State Attorney's Office was also contacted, and assisted.

According to police, it was determined that Baldyga died from injuries "sustained due to an accidental fall" in his home.

The investigation is still ongoing, according to Easton Chief of Police Timothy Shaw.
