Mark Twain Library's Presents 42nd Annual Art Show: A Masterpiece in the Making
The 42nd Annual Mark Twain Library Art Exhibition and Sale will celebrate that synergy as the Library turns into an art gallery.

REDDING, CT. – What makes a masterpiece? The word can be synonymous with both literary triumphs and stunning works of art, and Masterpiece: The 42nd Annual Mark Twain Library Art Exhibition and Sale, will celebrate that synergy as the Library turns into an art gallery for 10 days in December during its signature fund raiser and most highly-anticipated event.

The juried Art Show opens with a Champagne Preview Gala on Friday, December 5th . Invitations for the gala have been mailed to all of the Library’s current Friends of the Library – those who have supported the Library’s Annual Appeal this year. If you are not a member of the library and would like to receive an invitation to the Art Show Gala, please visit the Library’s website at www.marktwainlibrary.org/artshow.
The show will be open to the public from December 6 – 14. All the art work will be for sale and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Library.

“This year’s show promises to be as exciting as ever,” said Angela Matsuoka, the chairman of the art show for the past three years. “The thing that is really special about this show is the level of accomplishment of the artists – many of the artists are not only locally known, but also nationally recognized. All of them will have masterpieces to be seen at this show.”
