Redding Motorcyclist Killed In Crash: Police

A preliminary investigation indicates the motorcyclist was traveling westbound on Cross Highway and lost control while rounding a curve.

REDDING, CT — A motorcyclist who was seriously injured in a crash on Saturday, succumbed to those injuries Monday.

Police received word of the single-vehicle accident on Cross Highway at around 2:15 p.m. First responders found that the motorcyclist had sustained "serious life-threatening injuries," according to Redding Police Captain Tim Succi. The cyclist was taken to Danbury Hospital by Redding Ridge Ambulance.

Police later said the motorcyclist, a 46-year-old Redding man, had succumbed to his injuries on Monday.
