REDDING, CT — Kathleen F. O'Brien, age 66, of Redding passed away peacefully on July 20, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. She was the beloved wife of 41 years of Raymond J. O'Brien.

Born in Queens, NY on Oct. 21, 1955, and raised in Merrick, NY, she was the daughter of the late William and Patricia Gilligan Crawford. Kathy and Ray raised their family in Ridgefield before moving to Redding five years ago. Kathy loved spending time with her husband, four daughters, grandchildren, and lifelong friends. She enjoyed staying active through spin classes and walks outdoors. Kathy loved to read, travel and always enjoyed having a meal and a glass of wine out. She loved being a mother and grandmother and spoiled her grandchildren whenever possible. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

Kathy is survived by her husband Raymond, her daughters Christine (Doug) Fitzpatrick, Maureen (Brad) Hilker, Carolyn (Mike) Hutwagner, and Megan O’Brien as well as her four grandchildren Connor, Hadley, and Aiden Fitzpatrick and Finn Hutwagner, her siblings Brian (Gail) Crawford, Christopher (June) Crawford and Maureen (Kevin) Sullivan and countless close friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held for Kathleen at Sacred Heart Church in Redding on August 3 at noon. All other services are private and at the convenience of her family.
