Obituary: Vito D'Amico, of Easton

Vito was a dedicated educator, World War II veteran, avid golfer, Mason and a loyal fan of the UConn Women Huskies and NY Yankees.

EASTON, CT — Vito D'Amico passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on August 13th.

He was the beloved husband of Louise, devoted father of David (Donna), Douglas (Consuelo) and Rachel Rios (Jeffrey) and the adoring grandfather of Jonathan, Jarred, Andrew and Stefany.

He was a dedicated educator, World War II veteran and Mason. Vito was an avid golfer and a loyal fan of the UConn Women Huskies and the New York Yankees.

He was predeceased by his parents George and Josephine D'Amico and his brother Carmen. He is survived by his brother George (Margaret) and his sister-in-law Grace. Also, his brother-in-law Paul Marseglia (Gloria) and many nieces and nephews.Vito was a kind and gentle soul and will truly by missed by those who loved him. A private burial was held at his request. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to an animal charity. Arrangements were entrusted to the Larson Funeral Home.
