Paint, Draw & More! announces it’s 2016 Summer Art Camps & Classes

Brookfield Parks & Recreation. The camp will be held Monday-Friday starting August 8-12, from 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. for ages 5-8 & 9-13. The cost is $299 with all materials included.

Fairfield Parks & Recreation. Classes will be held Mondays and Wednesdays in the Recreation Activity Room, July 11-20, July 25-Aug 3 & August 8-17. Drawing Mixed Media will meet from 1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. for ages 5-8. Cartooning will be held from 3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. for ages 9-13. Georgetown School of the Arts Camps: 25 Old Mill Rd, Redding, CT. Full day camps will be held the weeks of July 11-15, July 18-22, and July 25-29, from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. for ages 5-8 & 9-13. The cost is $299 for the full week with all materials included. Woodworking Camp is June 20-24 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and June 27-July 1 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Class enrollment is limited to 4 students to offer each child focused attention from the teacher. Students must be 8-years or older or by special arrangement with the instructor. The cost is $350 plus $35 materials fee.

Newtown Parks & Recreation Camps: The camp will be held at the Middle School, from July 18-22, July 25-29 and August 1-5, from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. for ages 5-8 & 9-13. Norwalk Parks & Recreation Camps: The camp will be held at the Roosevelt Center (Senior Center),

Stamford Parks & Recreation Camps: The camp will be held at the Roxbury Elementary School, 751 West Hill Road, Monday-Friday, July 5-8, a four-day camp for $248 and July 11-15, July 18-22, July 25-29, and August 1-5 for $310 per week. Join Paint Draw & More! this summer as we enter our 20+ years of teaching children art. We are proud to look back at our many years of success as pioneers in children’s drawing and art classes in Fairfield County. Paint, Draw & More! offers fun camps that allow your child to express their creativity, while we teach them technical skills that help them blossom and build self-esteem through their artistic accomplishments. We teach young artists how to build an image vocabulary, and develop problem-solving skills through the medium of art. Whether your child continues in the arts or chooses another path, this creative development will enhance their intellectual growth and understanding of math, history and the sciences. Our camps are fun, engaging and each project is developed with your child in mind.

Each day is comprised of a full day of creating fine art, some of which may include drawing, painting, mask making, sculpture, bookmaking, cartooning, collage, print-making, and group projects. Story telling, music making and movement will also be added as time allows. Activities will take place in and out of doors depending on the weather. Students will explore a variety of mediums and be encouraged to break artistic boundaries and express their creativity in new and exciting ways. A compilation of the week’s activities may end up in an art show or small performance for the parents. During our camp session we will have a lunch break and play art and theater games. These camps will run Monday through Friday.

These fun summer art camps are designed for students ages 5 - 13.The classes are open to a maximum of ten (10) students per age group (ages 5 - 8 and 9 – 13). The teaching staff is comprised of skilled area artists trained by Paint, Draw & More!

Parents please provide lunch, snack and smock for all camps.
