Pink Aid Grants $2.5M Following Record Fundraising in 2023
Grants include 42 organizations in CT and LI as well as $1.5M earmarked for direct financial assistance through Pink Purse Program

Pink Aid posted record fundraising numbers in 2023 paving the way for expanded grants to organizations in Connecticut and Long Island in 2024. Pink Aid grants are awarded to recipients whose goals best advance our mission. Our grant partners support breast cancer patients and their families with programs that provide: Essential Household Expenses, Free Diagnostic Breast Cancer Screening, Treatment, Recovery or Wellness Support, and Outreach & Education.
This year, Pink Aid is providing funding for a combined 42 organizations on both sides of Long Island Sound in addition to our own signature programs: Pink Aid’s Pink Purse, Pink Posse and Warrior Connection.
Essential Household Expenses range from rent and food to utilities and transportation. Breast cancer treatment can have a significant impact on finances. High out-of-pocket costs and the need for long-term care can make it hard for patients and families to make ends meet. Our Pink Purse Program has been addressing these needs since 2015 and has now expanded to help more than in 45 states.
Our grant partners also offer Diagnostic Testing, screenings, ultrasounds and diagnostic mammograms to patients with demonstrated financial need.

Treatment, Recovery and Wellness Programs offer free access to wigs, cold cap therapy, recovery garments and lymphedema sleeves. Complementary therapies like acupuncture, nutritional counseling and emotional support groups also play a vital role in recovery.
Outreach and Education Programs empower women to take charge of their breast health by arming them with the information and resources they need to make decisions about their health.
