Playground Built in Honor Of Late Boston Marathon Bombing Surviver from Weston: Report

The Weston High School graduate survived the Boston Marathon bombing, but sadly lost her life in a car accident in Dubai.

DORCHESTER, MA — A Weston High School graduate and Boston Marathon Bombing survivor has been honored in Massachusetts in the form of a new playground, reports Fox 61.

A new playground was built in the Boston suburb of Dorchester in dedication to Victoria McGrath, 23, who was killed in a car crash in Dubai. McGrath was also known from the iconic photo of a firefighter carrying her to safety during the 2013 bombing.

She would have graduated from Northeastern University in 2016.

The playground was builty by the Where Angels Play Foundation, which also built playgrounds in honors of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.
