Redding Area Gas Prices Dip Below $2 Per Gallon

Gas prices are at the lowest nationwide and will drop just below $2 very soon, according to the Automobile Club of America (AAA).

The lowest prices in the greater Danbury area have been reported at $1.98 at Rizzo and $1.99 at Costco, (pictured) where it’s members only.

The average price per gallon in the Nutmeg State is $2.219. Last year at this time it was $2.974. According to AAA, these are the lowest unleaded gas prices since 2009.

• In Bethel, Citgo on 77 Greenwood Ave & Chestnut Street is at $2.14 per gallon as of this posting.
• In Brookfield the lowest prices as of this posting are at Costco and BJ’s which are both $1.98.
• In the Redding are the lowest price is $2.17 at Ridgefield Gulf, 115 Danbury Rd near Farmingville Road.
• In Danbury, Rizzo’s, 282 White Street at the corner of Byron Street, has the lowest area price of $1.98 per gallon.
• In Newtown, Wheels, 67 Church Hill Road, has a price of $2.15 per gallon.
