The Redding-Georgetown Democratic Town Committee would like to congratulate all of the students who received awards and accolades at the Joel Barlow High School Annual Awards Ceremony on May 31, 2023. In particular, we would like to recognize the students selected by the JBHS Awards Committee to be honored with the following awards, sponsored by the Redding-Georgetown Democratic Town Committee:

The Alvin Ruml Environmental Studies Prize

Mackenzie Sickinger
The Dr. Hugh Claremont Service Award
Awarded each year to a student who, through excellence in the subject area, demonstrates an interest in science.
Kaitlyn O’Brien
The John G. Atwood Good Government Prize
Awarded each year to a junior student who best demonstrates an understanding of and appreciation for our form of government, its unique contribution to history, and its status as an inspiration to peoples of the world.
Gabriela Krzewicki
The Mary Anne Guitar Award
Awarded each year to a junior female student who is a leader amongst her peers and a strong community activist.
