Redding Homeowner Robbed by Tinder Date: Police

REDDING, CT — Police are investigating the theft of an iPad and Macbook computer from a Portland Avenue home.

The homeowner told police that he was robbed overnight by a man he met on the dating app, Tinder, according to the police report.

The alleged thief, whom the homeowner described as a black man who said he was from New York, was supposed to stay the night, but waited until the homeowner fell asleep before leaving with the equipment.

The theft is under investigation, according to Redding Police Chief Mark O'Donnell.
