Redding Police Blotter Highlights For Aug. 18-26

REDDING, CT — Two thefts topped the blotter at the Redding Police Department last week.
On Aug. 25, 2024, a Great Oak Lane resident told police gray 2019 Nissan Rogue Sport was stolen out of the driveway. The car had been left unlocked, and the keys were left inside. A surveillance camera caught the license number of another vehicle driving away around the time of the theft. The police later learned that vehicle had been reported stolen out of Norwalk the previous day. The investigation remains open.
On Aug. 24, a Sport Hill road resident reported that a man in a purple shirt walked up to the front porch and took a box of diapers and a box from Target. He then drove off in a small white box truck, towards Stepney Road. The Redding Police Department notified police in Newtown and Easton.
