Redding Police Blotter Highlights For Sept. 16-22

REDDING, CT — A couple of near-collisions topped the blotter at the Redding Police Department last week.
A motorist who lost control of their vehicle reported minor injuries after striking a tree on Picketts Ridge Road on Sept. 22.
On Sept. 18, a Poverty Hollow Road resident reported their mailbox had been vandalized overnight.

No injuries were reported on Sept. 17 after two vehicles moving in opposite directions along Simpaug Turnpike had a near-collision. Both motorists lost their exterior rearview mirrors in the exchange along a narrow portion of the road that runs along the MTA train tracks.
Exterior rearview mirrors were also clipped along a narrow section of Pine Tree Road on Sept. 22, according to police. One of the vehicles did not stop following the near-collision, but continued to drive away. No injuries were reported.
