UPDATE: Police ID 2 Of The 3 Men Charged In Redding Armed Robbery

Two men who robbed a couple at gunpoint in Redding have been apprehended, while a third remains at large, according to Chief O'Donnell.

REDDING, CT — Police report they are holding two men in custody while they search for a third, in connection with an armed robbery in Redding on Tuesday night.

Just before 8:30 p.m., the Redding Police Department received a 911 call reporting a robbery that occurred in the parking lot of the Spinning Wheel Restaurant at 109 Blackrock Turnpike.

The reporting victims told police they went to the parking lot to sell a computer when they were confronted by three men, one of whom brandished a firearm, according to police. The victims turned over money and the computer to the men, who fled in a vehicle southbound on Route 58.

Police alerted neighboring law enforcement agencies, and the fleeing vehicle was located in Easton. The chase ended on Trumbull Avenue in Bridgeport when all three suspects fled on foot from the vehicle.

Christopher Torres, 21, and Tyrese Edwards, 20, both of Bridgeport, were charged with second-degree robbery, interfering with an officer/resisting arrest and third-degree larceny, according to Chief Mark O'Donnell.
