Redding Police Report Car Burglarized

This is the latest in a series of thefts of valuables left in unlocked vehicles in the area.

REDDING, CT — Police are investigating the theft of a woman's purse from her vehicle parked near the entrance gate area of Topstone Park on Friday.

The woman, a Chestnut Woods Road resident, had left her vehicle unlocked, according to Chief Mark O'Donnell.

This is the latest in a series of thefts of valuables left in unlocked vehicles in the area. Police are urging residents of southwestern Connecticut to lock their vehicles and take their valuables with them, even when they are parked in their own driveway.
