I have two grown children. My daughter is attending Wake Forest and my son graduated from Duke University with two degrees in biology and just got back from spending a-year-and-one-half in South Africa. We are a family of biologists. Everyone in Redding knows my son and daughter from lifeguarding. I have pictures in my office of my daughter from when she was younger. People have told me that they’ve seen her picture on cruise ships all around the world. I am an honorary assistant scout master for Boy Scout Troop 15. I hiked Everest this year with the troop.

How long have you had your practice in Redding?

We’ve been here since 1984. We were in Wilton before that.

What is your favorite aspect of Redding?

I would say the hiking my favorite place [which] is Saugatuck Falls. We still have natural brook trout in Redding and that’s another nice thing about this area.

What keeps you here?

We’ve had this business for 25 years now and a couple of years ago we moved it to Redding, so that’s what keeps us here.

What is your favorite memory in Redding?

All the times spent with kids through the high school track and cross country teams and being involved with my daughter Katie’s swim team.

What got you interested in dentistry?

When I finished Lehigh I did not like the practice of medicine in a hospital, so I decided on dentistry. With dentistry, you can set up your own office.

What would you like people to know about your practice?

The office is family dentistry; we treat people of all ages. I had patients in here as young girls and now they are bringing their children in here and that’s something nice to be able to see. We moved so that the elderly have access the ramp on the side of the building. At our old office we didn’t have that available to people.
