Rolls Royce, MG Owner's Club Member Bion H. Francis, Jr., 81, of Easton, Passed Away

EASTON, CT — Bion H. Francis, Jr., 81, of Easton, beloved husband of Margaret Gale Francis, passed away surrounded by his family on April 22, 2016.

He was born in Boston, MA on August 12, 1934 to the late Bion H. and Helen Collins Francis, Sr.

Bion graduated high school from Wellsley High School, received his bachelor's degree from MIT Sloane School of Management, and his master's degree from Southern Connecticut State University. He was a proud member of the fraternity, Phi Kappa Signa.

Bion was affiliated with the Rolls Royce Owner's Club and the MG Car Club. He was a weekend writer for the sports section of the New Haven Register for many years. He worked at Remington Arms and most recently was a Professor Emeritus at Gateway Community College.

Besides his wife, Margaret, he is survived by his loving daughters, Patricia Francis and Kathleen Francis, both of Milford; his grandchildren, Sean and Kelly Scianna of Milford; his brothers, Richard Turner of Woburn, MA and Roy Francis of Milford.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Notre Dame Church, 655 Morehouse Rd., Easton. Interment will immediately follow at St. Michael Cemetery, 2205 Stratford Ave., Stratford. Friends and family are invited to call on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford.
