In case you missed it, we are excited to share pictures and plans for the renovations to the Easton EMS building. We think this cost-effective design will restore the safety and function of our EMS building while fitting nicely into our community. We thank Alloy Design Studio for designing this beautiful building. The plan and renderings are available at:

The Peter Burton Hansen Award, in memory of Peter Hanson who was killed on 9/11 with his wife and daughter, was awarded to Kristian Pavel during the memorial ceremony on September 11th at the Joel Barlow High School. As always, our hearts go out to the Hansen family.

There has been a lot of discussion recently about response times for emergency services. All three chiefs, fire, police, and EMS invite people to reach out to them with any questions. Their contact info is as follows:
Richard Doyle: rdoyle@eastonctpolice.com
Jon Arnold: jarnold@eastonems.com
Robert Klem: rklem@eastonct.gov
One more thing I would add. The Emergency Services are highly regulated by the state, and data collection is a big part of that. When the town produces numbers, they are generated from real-time input and confirmed by more than one outside agency. The chiefs are always happy to share this data with you.

Over the last several weeks I have been talking about the Regional Water Authority making an offer to purchase the Aquarion company. After several public forums, The Authority, which is self-regulating, voted that it would make such a bid. It is unclear whether that bid will be accepted by Eversource, Aquarion’s current owner.
Have a great weekend.
Dave
