Shakespeare Alfresco at New Pond Farm

New Pond Farm's Summer Shakespeare program returns with the Comedy of Errors.

New Pond Farm’s Summer Shakespeare program returns with the Bard’s Comedy of Errors. This engaging three-week theatre program with Director Nancy Ponturo and Enrichment Director Dorothy Luongo incorporates acting, movement, and voice. This year fifteen talented actors are becoming more familiar with the intricacies of Shakespearean language, garnering a sound knowledge of the text, getting a glimpse into Elizabethan times, and having a wonderful time as they rehearse. Nancy and Dorothy aim to stimulate their imaginations through an innovative and exciting approach to classical material.

Get ready for a madcap romp involving identical twin brothers (separated as infants) and their identical twin servants. Chaos ensues from slapstick brawls and arrests, to accusations of theft and infidelity, but in the end, happiness prevails and mayhem gives way to love and reconciliation.
