State Board Suspends License of RN After He Skipped Drug Tests: Report

REDDING, CT — The Connecticut State Nursing Board suspended the license of Gregory Klimaytis, a registered nurse from Redding, after charges that he violated probation by failing to do drug tests, according to a report on Connecticut Health Investigative Team.

In 2013, Klimaytis' license was put on probation for four years after he admitted to stealing a painkiller, abusing alcohol and falsifying records, the report states.

Other nurses who had their licenses suspended are as follows:

• RN Samantha Angelini of East Granby, pending a hearing for the alleged abuse of Ritalin, Adderall, Percocet, marijuana, Suboxone, alcohol and cocaine in 2013 and 2014.
• RN Dawn C. Palmer of Danielson, pending a hearing on charges that she violated probation by testing positive in 2016 for opiates.
• LPN Dorsey Saunders, of Bridgeport signed a consent order for four years probation. Saunders admitted that she stole and abused oxycodone and fentanyl in 2015.
• RN Amy B. Tagg of New Milford received two years of probation after she admitted stealing Percocet and Dilaudid for personal use in 2011 from Danbury Hospital. She also admitted to excessively using Focalin, a stimulant, in 2015.
