Summer Astronomy at New Pond Farm Education Center
Saturn will be magnificent with its rings at the widest open angle to the earth; and we will discuss the summer constellations.

At 8:30 pm on Saturday August 8th New Pond Farm Education Center (101 Marchant Road, Redding CT) will be hosting an Astronomy Night open to the public. Saturn will be magnificent with its rings at the widest open angle to the earth; the Milky Way will be seen and the center of the galaxy with numerous gaseous nebulae. The International Space Station should streak by about 8:50, and we will discuss the summer constellations. We may also see a few random Perseid meteors.
This program is open to the public, reservations are required. Please call the Farm at (203) 938-2117 or visit us online to register.
$4 per member with a maximum of $16 per member family. $6 per non-member and a maximum of $24 per non-member family. Bring a flashlight for the walk to the observatory, bug spray and binoculars if you have them.
