Teen Tech Week events
On March 6-12, join the Weston Public Library in celebrating Teen Tech Week with some fun events.

Celebrate Teen Tech Week at the Weston Public Library! Teen Tech Week is a national event created by the Young Adult Library Services Association to promote interest in technology and digital library resources. Join in with these fun events!
Scratch Jam Session: Mar. 8, 4-5pm
Ever wanted to learn how to make a video game? Or maybe you already have and you’d like to show it off. Then come to the Scratch Jam Session and explore all things Scratch! Scratch is an easy-to-use programming language that can be used to make games and animations. Come see what it can do! Available to kids in grades 3 and up. Participants must bring a laptop to this program.

Teen Tech Week Videos: Mar. 9, 6PM
Are you creative enough to accept our Teen Tech Challenge to create videos to highlight our latest books? To join in: bring your own device and use the app or program of your choice to create your video. Then you can see the finished video on our website!

Robot Rally: Mar. 10, 3:30-4:30pm
Come learn about how robots work, then get hands-on with them! The Weston Middle School Robotics club will talk about robots and show how they work. Then you can meet Dash and Dot, a pair of kid-friendly robots that you can program though a mobile app, and try controlling them. You can also build mini Brush bots and Gami-bots, watch them race around, and take them home to play with! Open to participants aged 10-19. Registration recommended.
Teen Tech Week Bingo: Mar. 6-19
Join our Teen Tech Week bingo contest! Pick up a bingo card at the library, which has a bunch of fun tech activities. When you complete 5 in a row and cross them off, you can turn it in for a chance to win a prize! The contest is free and open to teens age 13-19. All activities must be completed during the contest period, so you have 2 weeks to complete them and turn in your card!
