Good afternoon. It is Friday, February 5, 2021 and this is First Selectman Christopher Spaulding with a coronavirus update.

As of February 4, 2021 we have had 22 new positive COVID test results, of Weston residents since our last outreach on January 29, 2021. http://wwhd.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/Web-update-February-4-2021.pdf

If you haven’t done so already, consider signing up for the COVID CT Alert App – Connecticut’s contact tracing program. Instructions on how to sign up are here https://portal.ct.gov/coronavirus/covidalertCT/homepage

Residents should also report positive cases directly to the Westport/Weston Health Department http://wwhd.org/ so contact tracing can be started immediately in order to contain the spread of the virus. The office line is 203 227 9571. There you will also find the latest information on Connecticut’s vaccine rollout plan.

As a reminder COVID testing is available at area hospitals and urgent care facilities as well as at St. Vincent’s Behavioral Health Facility on Long Lots Road. You can call to book an appointment at 1-860-972-8100. No prescription is required.

We continue to ask residents to practice social distancing when out in public, wear masks, and wash/sanitize hands frequently. Please see the state latest guidance here
