Trumbull Motorist Ran Over, Killed, 73-Year-Old Easton Man: PD

EASTON, CT — Police charged a 93-year-old Trumbull man with running over and killing a 73-year-old Easton resident at the Trumbull transfer station on Feb. 8, the Connecticut Post is reporting.

Police say that Alexander "Barry" Trup of Rock House Road in Easton was unloading debris from his vehicle when he was struck by a 2006 Toyota Corolla driven by Edward Socha of Plum Tree Lane in Trumbull.

Socha was scheduled for a Jan. 7 court date that he will likely miss due to his hospitalization for ailments unrelated to the crash, the Post reports.
