REDDING, CT — Two burglaries were at the top of the Redding Police Department's blotter this past week.

The first was reported on Friday, when a George Hull Hill Road resident arrived home to find it had been entered and burglarized, according to police. Video footage from inside the home revealed two men, wearing camouflage clothing, entered the residence, ransacked some rooms and then attempted to remove and steal a safe. This investigation remains open.

The second reported burglary was called in to The Redding Police Department on Monday. The complainant reported arriving for work at Redding Pharmacy on Route 107 at 7:40 a.m., finding the front door window smashed. Someone had smashed out the front door window, entered the building, and stolen an unknown amount of cash, according to police. No drugs were reported missing. This investigation remains open pending video footage review, police said.

On Friday, police received a report that someone had smashed out the front passenger's side door window on a car in a driveway off Route 107. No items were reported missing, but the center console and other storage areas were rummaged through, according to the complainant. This investigation remains open.

The same day, a vehicle moving southbound on Route 53 was struck by another vehicle turning left onto the road, traveling in the same direction. No injuries were reported.

On Sunday, police report that a vehicle pulling out southbound onto Route 58 / Giles Hill Road struck another vehicle moving the same direction. There were no injuries.
