Update: Police Search Bridgeport Home in Connection With Missing Easton Couple Case

Jeanette and Jeffrey Navin were reported missing on August 7.

Update: State Police searched an Aldine Avenue residence in Bridgeport, according to NBC Connecticut.

The home is owned by a Kyle Navin, according to Bridgeport land records. Kyle Navin is the son of the couple, according to the Hartford Courant.

The couple was known for taking last minute vacations without notifying people, but police have suspected they have disappeared or were victims of a crime.

Jeanette, 55, and Jeffrey Navin, 56, were last seen on August 4, according to State Police.

Easton Police Department initiated an investigation and searched for the couple throughout that weekend.

State troopers found a vehicle belonging to the Navin’s in the exit 42 commuter lot off of the Merritt Parkway on August 9.

Easton requested assistance from the Connecticut State Police Western District Major Crime Squad on August 10 and the Bridgeport State Attorney’s Office requested the squad take over the investigation on August 19.

Jeffrey Navin was $2.2 million in debt on a Guilford residence and had an electric bill balance of more than $130,000, according to court records.

Family members said that finances weren’t proven to be a factor in their disappearance, according to Fox CT.
