Vehicle Rollover, Fender Benders, Top Redding Police Blotter Last Week

REDDING, CT — Fender benders and a complete rollover were atop the Redding police blotter July 26 - Aug. 4.
On July 29, a motorist travelling westbound on Long Ridge Road/West Redding Road was struck by another vehicle when it entered the intersection with Old Lantern Road / West Redding Road. Police issued the second motorist a warning for failure to obey a stop sign. There were no injuries.
On July 31, the Redding Police Department received a complaint from a Peaceable Street resident that someone had been trying to scam their money through PayPal. There are no details regarding the nature of the scam. The investigation remains open.

On the same day, a motorist driving northbound on Sport Hill Road edged too close to the shoulder of the road, lost control of the car, and rolled completely over, ending right side up. The driver suffered minor injuries, was issued a waning for improper turning maneuver, and was taken by Redding EMS to the hospital for treatment and observation, according to police.
There were no injuries reported on Aug. 3 when a motorist moving southbound on Glen Road/Route 53 lost control of their vehicle while rounding a curve, according to police.

On Aug. 4, police issued a warning to a driver for failure to grant right of way when they turned into a parking lot on Ethan Allen Highway/Route 7 and cut off another motorist moving in the other direction.
